Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 June 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AZ Service website and mobile applications (the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by AZ Service Australia (ABN 65 887 022 062) (“AZ Service”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Introduction
AZ Service is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking services with independent service providers. AZ Service is an intermediary only: we are not the supplier of the services booked through the Platform, and we are not a party to the agreement formed between a customer and a service provider.
2. Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, current information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.
- Service providers may be required to complete identity and document verification before offering services.
3. Service Providers
Service providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of AZ Service. Providers are responsible for the services they deliver, for holding any necessary licences, insurance and qualifications, and for complying with all applicable laws and tax obligations.
4. Customers
Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking details, for paying for services booked, and for treating providers respectfully. Any agreement for the performance of services is solely between the customer and the service provider.
5. Bookings, Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Making a booking. A customer requests a booking and the service provider may accept it. A booking is “accepted” once the provider confirms it in the app.
- Before acceptance. A booking that has not yet been accepted may be cancelled, and any amount paid is handled in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Cancelling an accepted booking – mutual approval. Once a booking has been accepted, it may be cancelled by either the customer or the provider by submitting a cancellation request in the app. The cancellation only takes effect once the other party approves it. This protects both sides from one-sided changes.
- Rescheduling an accepted booking – mutual approval. Either party may request a change to the date and/or time of an accepted booking. The new date and time only take effect once the other party approves the request.
- Late changes. Where a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, any advance payment or deposit may be retained as a cancellation fee, as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Payments, Fees & Wallet
- Online payments are processed securely through Stripe. A handling fee of 1.5% may apply to online payments for both customers and service providers. No platform handling fee applies to bookings paid by cash or other direct payment methods agreed between the parties.
- The Platform includes an in-app wallet. Eligible refunds and credits may be issued to your wallet and used towards future bookings, subject to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your transactions.
7. AI-Assisted Features
The Platform may offer optional AI-assisted features (for example, content and marketing generation, insights and review tools). AI-generated output is provided “as is”, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before relying on or publishing it. You must not submit unlawful content or content you do not have the right to use.
8. Social Media Publishing
If you (as a provider) connect a social media account so that AZ Service can publish promotional content on your behalf, you authorise us to do so and remain responsible for the content published and for complying with the terms of the relevant social media platform. You may disconnect a connected account at any time.
9. Prohibited Content & Moderation
You must not post, upload or transmit any content on the Platform that is illegal or that we consider harmful. This includes, without limitation: adult or pornographic content and sexual services; child exploitation material; illegal weapons; illegal drugs or controlled substances; illegal gambling; human trafficking or exploitation; content promoting violence, self-harm, terrorism or extremism; hate speech or discrimination; fraudulent, misleading or scam services; and counterfeit goods or services.
All user-generated content — including service listings, job posts, bids, reviews and chat messages — is automatically reviewed by our systems (including AI-assisted screening) before or at the time it is published. Content that breaches these Terms may be blocked, removed or edited without notice, and repeated or serious breaches may result in suspension or termination of your account. Where content may involve criminal activity, we may report it, together with associated account information, to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
If you believe your content has been blocked in error, or you wish to report content on the Platform, contact us at support@azservice.com.au.
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the Platform belongs to AZ Service or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Platform without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of content you submit, and grant us a licence to use it as needed to operate the Platform.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the quality, safety or suitability of any service booked through the Platform, or about the conduct of any user. Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AZ Service is not liable for any loss arising from the acts or omissions of customers or service providers, or from your use of the Platform. As an intermediary, AZ Service is not responsible for the performance, quality or outcome of the services arranged between users.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify AZ Service against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the changes.
